Share Your Story

The state has a sovereign obligation over “all the earth and air within its domain.” - U.S. Supreme Court (1907) 

This is called the Public Trust. 

Instructions

For youth everywhere, and for those who love them, please follow these steps and share your story.

1) In a few sentences, make a sign including the following: 

• What does public trust mean to you? 
• How you’ve been or could be affected by the climate crisis (now or in the future). 
• Include your name, age, and city/state in your post. 
• End with “Protect our TRUST. Restore our Atmosphere.”

2) Take a picture of you holding your sign - show as much of your face as you can (we want to see the face behind the words!). Or you can make a short video to post. 

3) Click the “Submit” link below and then select “Submit Photo or Video” from the drop down menu.

4) Don’t stop there!

• Get your friends and family to make signs and post them too. 
• Sent this Tumblr site around to your networks!
• Write a blog post or an op-ed that sends a message about the Public Trust Doctrine and the need for Climate Recovery Plans supported by science.
• Talk to friends and family about your right to inherit a livable planet.
